Services To Business: How we Can Help
The Idaho Commission for the Blind And Visually Impaired offers businesses a variety of free services, which include consulting, recruitment support, accommodation assessment, technology training, and follow-up support.
Worksite Accommodations Assessment
Our professional staff are available to assess and recommend worksite adaptations to optimize them for use by employees who are blind or low vision. In most cases, our staff can find a solution to any barrier presented at a worksite. We assist Idahoans with vision loss in gaining/retaining employment and ensuring that our employers are equipped with qualified employees who have the tools they need to be productive on the job. Often times, candidates/employees with an open VR case can receive assistive Technology accommodations through ICBVI at no cost to the employer.
Talent Acquisition
Throughout Idaho, we connect our clients with exceptional businesses to help them find and hire qualified applicants. We are always looking for new partnership opportunities with businesses who would like to work with us to ensure talented Idahoans who are blind or visually impaired are able to acquire and retain employment. In addition to providing a recruitment resource, we also provide paid interns at no cost to employers which provides training partnerships. We also cover all workers’ compensation insurance while our participants are in a Work Experience. We also provide assistance with On-the-Job Training (OJT) costs with successful employment placement upon completion of OJT. If you would like more information on these programs or to become a part of our network of exemplary businesses seeking to employ Idahoans with vision loss, please contact us.
Adaptive Technology Training
Today’s technology Continues to evolve and create opportunities toward accessibility for all. Our staff can assist you and your employees who are visually impaired with assistive technology recommendations and training tailored to your specific needs.
